Welcome to Second Shift Sorted!
Feeling overwhelmed, exhausted and burnt out by the constant grind of responsibilities that extend beyond your workday? If your household is anything like mine, your to-do list is a mile long and constantly growing as you simultaneously tackle all the pressing needs of your family, home, and job “whack-a-mole” style. Life doesn’t have to feel quite so stressful. Allow me to bring greater harmony to your days by taking some of the tedious yet necessary tasks off your plate.
Why Second Shift Sorted?
Almost 20 years ago as a freshman at Tulane University, I took the first class for my sociology major, Sociology of the Family. I found the class fascinating, particularly learning about the “second shift,” which refers to the unpaid work that (traditionally) women do in the home after their 9-5 jobs. While it wasn’t particularly relevant to me at the time, two decades and three children of my own later, I now understand what a struggle it can be to run a household during “off” hours. In my role as a full time parent, I’ve developed the skills to keep my home organized and running smoothly and my family thriving (while fitting in meetings for my part-time job after bedtime). The goal of Second Shift Sorted is to leverage my skill set to help you make more time for what really matters.
