Meet Joy
I’m a mom to three young children and live with my family in Maplewood, NJ. I have a master’s degree in school counseling and have worked previously in both elementary and secondary schools. After my first child was born in 2017, I left the school setting and became a full time mom while also working part-time virtually as a college admissions consultant. The transition to being at home wasn’t always easy, and there were certainly a few meltdowns along the way. Through a lot of trial and error, my household began to run more smoothly. After my second child was born, I really began to find my groove, organizing my junk drawer and pantry during naptime and finding items for friends off of Facebook marketplace. If we know each other personally, there’s a very good chance I’ve sent you a screenshot of something I found online that I know you’ve been looking for, organized a group gift for a mutual friend, or reminded you to sign up for an activity that our kids want to do together.
As a mom to kids who are constantly in motion, I’m forever researching extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities, and have my finger on the pulse of what’s happening locally for babies, preschoolers, and elementary school aged kids. Combined with my professional experience working with teens, I have the ability to work with parents and families across a broad developmental spectrum. I would describe myself as detail oriented, naturally caffeinated, a master at Googling, and a planning enthusiast.
